Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport , collect your luggage and proceed through customs. Our driver will be waiting to transfer you to Katambuga House, a charming boutique lodge just outside Arusha.

If time permits, you may opt for an optional excursion such as a city tour, coffee plantation visit, guided bike ride, a trip to Lake Duluti, or even a half day game drive in Arusha National Park.

This evening, unwind in the tranquil gardens or by the swimming pool, surrounded by lush vegetation. Dinner is not included tonight, allowing you to settle in and prepare for an early start tomorrow.

Accommodation: Katambuga House

Day 2: Safari in Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, meet your private guide and embark on a 2.5 hour scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, marking the start of your safari adventure. Your private safari vehicle is designed for ultimate comfort, featuring an open top roof, large windows for panoramic views, onboard WiFi, and a fully stocked bar fridge.

Upon entering Tarangire, enjoy your first game drive en route to camp, spotting large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Arrive at your lodge in time for a delicious dinner under the African sky.

Accommodation: Olkeri Camp

Day 3: Full Day Safari in Tarangire

Today, choose between:

  • Two shorter game drives, returning to camp for lunch and a midday siesta.
  • A fullday game drive with a packed picnic lunch, maximizing your time in the wilderness.

Tarangire is a yearround safari destination, though the dry season offers prime wildlife viewing as zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and rare species like Fringeeared Oryx and eland gather at waterholes. The park is also home to pythons, often seen coiled in tree branches, and a rich variety of birds, particularly in the southern marshlands.

Day 4: Game Viewing & Picnic at Lake Manyara

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and head towards Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive through its diverse landscapes, followed by a scenic picnic lunch.

Lake Manyara is famous for its vast soda lake, which covers twothirds of the park and attracts thousands of flamingos and waterbirds. Keep an eye out for baboons, treeclimbing lions, and hippos, as well as the park’s unique blend of groundwater forests, swamps, acacia woodlands, and hot springs.

In the afternoon, leave the park and continue to Karatu for your overnight stay at a lodge with stunning views over the highlands.

Accommodation: Mandhari Lodge

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Enjoy an early breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCOlisted natural wonder and home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

Spend the morning exploring this volcanic caldera, where you may encounter zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, hippos, elephants, and a high density of predators, including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards.

After a thrilling morning of game viewing, enjoy lunch with spectacular crater views before continuing to Serengeti National Park.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park Safari

Journey across the Serengeti, witnessing its endless plains and remarkable wildlife. The park is home to the Great Migration, one of nature’s greatest spectacles. While the migration's movements vary, the best chance of witnessing a river crossing at the Mara River is between late July and mid September.

Your lodge is located in a remote area, away from the busy routes, offering spectacular sunset views and a peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy a relaxing evening with a drink in hand, immersed in the sounds of the Serengeti.

Accommodation: Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp (June – October)

Day 7: Serengeti Safari Experience

Spend a full day on safari, either opting for:

  • Two shorter game drives, returning to camp for a relaxed lunch.
  • A full day safari, bringing along breakfast and lunch for an extended adventure.

The Serengeti teems with giraffes, elephants, leopards, lions, and thousands of grazing animals. If visiting between July and September, you may witness the dramatic river crossings at the Mara River, where wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile infested waters in search of greener pastures.

Day 8: Departure

On your final morning, enjoy one last breakfast in the bush before a leisurely drive to the airstrip. Say farewell to your guide and board a scheduled flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport, marking the end of an unforgettable safari adventure.
