Set against the backdrop of the Tatasberg Mountains overlooking the Orange river you will find a gem, called Tatasberg Wilderness Camp. The chalets blend into the rocky surrounds, constructed using natural materials. In the desolate landscape, you can escape the daily humdrum and soak up the unique wilderness.

Accommodation

  • Two-bed Reed Cabins each  with 2 single beds, en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower. Fridge and geysers are solar powered while the kitchen has a gas stove and all the necessary utensils. There are no plug points and guests are advised to bring their own drinking water and firewood. Each of these cabins have a verandah with braai facilities. Access to Tatasberg is through Sendelingsdrif.
    Should problems occur with the lights, paraffin lanterns are available.
    A resident caretaker is on site.

Activities & Facilities

Richtersveld Transfrontier National Park offers 4x4 trails, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching activities to all its guests. There are no facilities at this wilderness camp
