Situated at the southernmost tip of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, Agulhas National Park provides comfortable lodging surrounded by the pristine coastal landscape of the Agulhas National Park. Designed with environmental conservation in mind, the intimate camp is located near the famous Cape Agulhas Lighthouse, which overlooks the shipwrecks of some of the 250 vessels run aground by the notorious ‘Cape of Storms’.

The Agulhas Rest Camp is ideally situated to experience the best of what the ‘Cape of Storms’ has to offer.
Accommodation is serviced daily (except for the washing of dishes) and is equipped with bedding and towels.

The rough seas off Cape Agulhas were treacherous for early explorers and a number of shipwrecks can be found along the coastline, including the wrecks of the Zoetendal, Birkenhead, Arniston and Meisho Maru 38.
The nearby Bredasdorp Shipwreck museum showcases the stories and remnants of these fateful voyagers. The Cape Agulhas Lighthouse was built to aid the early explorers and is a museum, as well as the second oldest working lighthouse in southern Africa.
