We had a fantastic time. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and the aircon made a huge difference. Staff were pleasant and helpful. It was the highlight of our trip - traveled from Pretoria to the berg and then Addo to Plettenberg Bay and back to Durban.

The caravan site was clean, spacious and really well maintained. The staff were great, helpful and friendly. The waterhole in camp was great and the underground hide a brilliant idea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even the animals played their part!
Denis Littleford
Accommodation first class, saw elephant and wart hogs from our veranda. Did 2 game drives, one in our own vehicle and one with a ranger. We also saw 6 of the 8 lions, hundreds of elephants at a watering hole as well as a herd of Cape Buffalo, many antelope, meerkats, and bird life.

First trip to Addo and we were very impressed with the roads, the camp and the Main Camp facilities. Had wonderful sightings of elephant and buffalo. Fabulous visit, night drive was disappointing but the guide Ryan was brilliant. Thank you.
Lesley Murray
We had never been to the Addo Elephant park before, and we were very impressed with everything. The roads, the accommodation, the Main Camp was superb with restaurant and facilities, so loved our experience, and saw the most superb sightings of elephant and buffalo.

Staff, accommodations and park were super.
BARRY BURGER
WE really had a GREAT visit to Addo, our sixth. The highlight was trailing a lioness for about 3 k's on the Harvey Loop and see her go into a stalking mode. We thought here is our first kill in 50 years of game viewing! After about a minute, the Warthog realised the danger and went into F1 mode. Next we had a Caracal all to ourselves and the last day we saw a Secretary bird lunching on a Scrub hare. Due to the amount of rain the Ellies stayed in the bush, so not a troop sighting, but what an exciting Addo visit again. Cant wait for Kgalagadi in December!
HERMAN VAN ZYL
Very happy with everything.

CLAIR OXLEY-OXLAND
A really well run camp, the reception staff are friendly & welcoming. The accommodation & cleanliness perfect. The Restuarant was good too. We were very impressed & loved our stay in the Addo. A really beautiful part of SA.
BRYAN SHAW
We will certainly recommend it to other parties and will visit again.

Great visit to Addo - was there 16 years ago and it is immensely improved
Helen Grapes
Pleasant reception. Parking bit resticting by tents. Food absolutely lovely and service very friendly and efficient. A pleasure to be able to show international guests around. Park looking at its best ever.

My wife and I have been visiting Addo for the last ten years and have seen vast improvements. Our experience this year was the best we've had. The staff, without exception were courteous and helpful. We had an issue with the shower which was sorted promptly. A meal at the camp restaurant was very good, the service excellent. An early morning game drive was most rewarding, our guide CK was knowledgable and informative. His off-road route was timed perfectly to see a pair of male lions pass within a metre of the front of our vehicle. The lady on the park gate prompt and pleasent. We have purchased a wild card for further game viewing days in the park.
Philip Gree
We have been overseas visitors to Addo for the last ten years and it just get's better. There have been issues on previous visits but our experience this year was excellent. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, our complaint about the faulty shower was quickly rectified, our meal in the restaurant was good and all staff were pleasant and helpful. We had an early morning game drive, our guide CK was pleasent, knowledgable and informative. He took us off-road perfectly timed to witness a pair of male lions cross a metre in front of the vehicle. My wife and I have purchased a wild card so can now access the parks on a greater number of occasions.
Christoph
The forest cabin was a bit small for three people, but otherwise everything was fine. Our stay in the park was exciting, we saw many different animals, especially many elephant. The park is certainly one of the highlights in South Africa if one looks for nature and animals. Some of the ways could be better marked, we lost our way several times and the map we received at the reception was a copy from a copy and therefore not very good.
Saskia Weitsz
Addo chalet provided good quality accommodation. Only down side was that it rained very heavily earlier the day we arrived, so the entire stoep was water logged. At least there was a broom to sweep it away before we could get to the door.
Johannes Dicks
Well run camp with clean ablutions and good shop on site. Animals a bit scarce though.
Pieter Scheepers
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in Addo and the main camp is very nice and relaxing. The chalets was serviced excellently and we had a very nice view. We enjoyed the game viewing in our own vehicle and drove right through the Park. Will visit again sometime!
Doug Timm
We were completely satisfied and impressed.
Ilse Cronje
We visited Addo Restcamp for 9 days and stayed over in the caravan park. The camping sites are private and clean. We loved our site which had plenty of shade! Dust bins and fireplaces are emptied each morning which was great! I would however suggest that the ablutions be upgraded soon! We where however shocked to see the swimming pool in such a state. We really looked forward to our 1st swim after a long drive through the resort but needless to say we did not swim because the pool area looked terrible. If a small shop ,music, green cut grass, a few tables and chairs, lilo's, clean blue water in the pool could be added to the picture (and maybe just maybe heated) then ALL the overnight visitors will use this facility!!!! The rest of our stay was awesome! The shop is beautiful and the food at the cattle barron was delicious.
Alistair Reid
Accommodation was clean but slightly cramped for four. Never the less good value for money and we would stay there again
Brian Reid
We always enjoy Addo. The accommodation is just what we want. We often recommend travellers to stay at Addo
John Hopkins
The accommodation was excellent, apart from the one patio chair which was completely broken.
PERCY FIAMINGO
Wonderful as usual.
Linda Helfet
Our party had a 5-star experience at Addo. Accommodation was clean, very comfortable and well serviced. Food was great, Day driver/ranger was exceptional(Headman), staff all good except the 2 women at the reception desk who seemed to be bored with their job and not up to the general standard of providing good service.
Tommy Bosch
I just want to thank the personal at the park for their outstanding service and frindliness. We camped and it was our first. Brought a conqueror trailer and had no idea how to set it up. Two of the gentlemen came and helped us and their help was outstanding, thank you.I lost my cellphone on our last evening we were there, 13 Nov. I just want to report I found it when we got home, had fallen into the bag I put our dirty washing into. Please let the staff at the gate know it was found. I reported it to them on 14 November as we were leaving. Will definitely be back.Thank you.
HUGH HOPKINS
Great game viewing and well looked after resort. The chalets are a little over priced for what you get - they could do with a bit of a refresh if you want to charge those prices.
MICHAEL ANDERSON
Very comfortable and clean
Marlise Basson
The camp and accommodation at Addo was neat clean and comfortable. The park was beautiful, we saw lion, large herds of Kudu, and Eland in beautiful condition. The roads were well maintained and what I liked best of the park was that there are waterholes like the Domkrag waterhole where you can get out of your car and watch the elephants interact and play in the water! There is no other park in SA where you can get so close to the animals. A very satisfying experience!
Sue Anderson
We were very pleased to see the tents had been re-decorated. It was great to have a tent with really good lighting. There seem to be little improvements all around the camp which was great to see. What with that and many many elephants to watch we had a good trip.
Ina Muller
I'm impressed with the cleanliness and neatness of the whole area. Shall visit again!
Heinrich
Good accommodation, good service.
Kathy Roper
We stayed three nights in the rest camp in a Rondavel with a lovely view of the watering hole, a good fridge, and access to a well stocked communal kitchen, in which each rondavel had a labelled draw of utensils to be used in good stove tops, etc. We actually did not use the communal kitchen, but, thanks to the fridge, we had wonderful breakfasts of muesli, fruit, yogurt, etc. and leftovers from the restaurant meals we enjoyed. On the first morning we took a guided game drive, which led us to see a lone buffalo near the route, an aging elephant crossing the road ahead while the driver explained that he was an elder and also in "musht". He explained the signs and gave us serious warnings about staying away from elephants with those signs (which we did in Kruger!). That afternoon and early the next morning we went out again and saw many additional elephants from our own car on the very well marked roads (every intersection corresponded to a number on the map; there is absolutely no need for a GPS here). Also good, we were able to use our Wild Card, purchased in Cape Point for the conservation fees. Over the whole trip, we very much more than paid it off! All visitors to many parks should purchase it.In all, it was a magnificent introduction to South Africa's game parks. Thank you.
SUSAN ERASMUS
The park was beautiful after the rains. The accommodation excellent.
Jacky Donovan
All was very clean and the kitchens spotless. Staff very friendly too.
Peter Kempster
very well run park .Spotlessly clean, restaurant outstanding, all staff polite and well trained. All in all, a pleasure to visit !
Danie Viljoen
Again, it was a pleasure to visit this park and we saw Lion & Hyena for the first time there, as well as MANY Elephants, Kudu & Warthogs!
Barbara goldie
We were most impressed with the Staff at Addo, pleaant and accommodating. The restuarant was clean, presentable and we enjoyed several meals we had there. Accommodation in the Forest Cabins was excellent, serviced much to our surprise and the communial kitchen was always spotless, my husband and I think that the other National Parks should take a long, hard look at what Addo is doing because whatever it is, they are doing it correctly. All in all a good time was had and also the night drive was excellent.
John Spinks
A well laid out and managed camp. Your other camps can learn from Addo
Marga Saaijman
Had a good experience, very tidy park, animals and whole ecosystem in good condition.
Colleen Silberbauer
Unfortunately my husband. Decided that he could not make the trip due to a painful back but our two Dutch friends and I enjoyed our stay in the park and felt quite. safe at all times. The only problem was the monkeys at the picnic spot they quick as lightning stole our food.
George Morrison
Was enjoyable. Park well kept. Will be back
Roote Nicola Jane
very enjoyable
Pierre Rocher
Well done one a well maintained, neat and tidy park. The bathrooms is clean and staff friendly. A concern is the apes that has moved to the Camp sites.A suggestion would be to put more emphasis on informing people not to feed apes.Otherwise a great weekend.
Mrs R Norman
Camp site was extremely busy and therefore much too noisy for a "Rest Camp" in a nature reserve. Also, stands marked for caravans were all taken up by tents although the tent campers do have their own stands. I feel camp attendants should see to it that people camp on their correct sites. Attendants in shop was not very friendly and helpful - it was as if it was a great effort to serve one. Office staff (reception) was excellent.
NIcole Kleynhans-Boogaers
Good morning all,We had a wonderful stay at the Addo rest camp! The cottage was wonderful and the lunch at the restaurant was outstanding!!We will definitely be back!Regards,Nicole

Sadly we were only able to stay for one night due to car problems, but we had a vary enjoyable time.Better than our 6 nights at the Kruger. Friendly and helpful personnel. excellent facilities.
Dirk Coetzee
My first time experience of Addo were exeptional and a definate value for money. This is something that I will do in the future soon again. I definately recommend Addo to all my friends and family.
Greg Davies
Fabulous stay in guest house - spacious, great view, lovely location.
Barry Scarterfield
Had a wonderful time at Addo Thank you!
BERTUS JACOBS
Had a nice stay, thanks.
Hugo van der Walt
We had a wonderful time in Addo, saw a lot of wild life. Addo never dissapoints. Facilities in very good condition and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The store was well priced on general groceries but unfortunately there was no wood available for the whole weekend. Otherwise we had an awesome weekend.
Bertus Jacobs
Ablution was neat and cleaned regulary. Campsite was also neat and a pleasure . Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant very good.
LEON GROENEWALD
Very nice, service in restaurant needs attention, food Ok.
yvonne shorten
Addo Elephant was the best holiday stop over Ive ever visited. Just wish we could have stayed a day or two longer. One night was not sufficient!!
Aisling Clinch Long
Addo is a wonderful park, easy to self drive. We saw an amazing number of animals and birds. The children thoroughly enjoyed theirtime in the park. We stayed in the park and we were verypleased with our chalet, the facilities and all ofthe staff. That was our second trip to Addo and we will be back.
Joy Cook
We enjoyed the camp site at Addo and found the staff pleasant and efficient. We thought there should have been better signage, e.g where the game drives start and the underground hide's locality as well as the viewing deck - discovered all these by detective work and accident. While there we had a medical scare, and the two ladies on the reception desk were most kind and helpful.
michael harrison
I have only one criticism which is that the crockery/cutlery supplied needs to be more comprehensive - to iclude sharp cutting knoves and scissors - and sufficient for four people even in a two person chalet
Janet Holloway
We had a wonderful stay in Addo. We saw some marvellous wildlife and the Forest Cabin was lovely
Jacqui
We had a wonderful 24 hours at Addo Elephant park. The accommodation was clean and suitably equipt. The restaurant was easy and relaxed. We had a great family stay.
Phillip Nel
Great experience allround, but I think what impressed me the most is the friendliness and big smiles of all the employees at Addo. I give them 10/10 and wish to say THANK YOU ALL.
Ana Olivier
We had the best time at Addo, having just been to Kgadlagadi & west coast which was thouroughly disappointing.
PERCY FIAMINGO
As before it was great being back, now for the fifth time. I have already booked a week in November 2014.
Glynis Wilson
While the park itself was wonderful and we enjoyed the new Jacks Rest picnic site, the camp was a little noisy with the large parties of tour guides camping with big trucks that came and went all the time over the weekend. But the showers and toilets were kept very clean, and they had revamped the kitchen block with splendid instant boiling water machine to make an early morning cuppa quickly before you go into the park. Well done Addo staff.

Outstanding Experience! (Cape Town, Sabi Sands, Vic Falls)
After attempting to book this trip myself (a couple coming from the US), I gave up and reached out to Sara from Safari.com. I told Sara what I was thinking and by the next day she had created several wonderful itineraries! Based on her suggestions, we personalized the itineraries and within 7 days I was booked and all set!! Sara was available at all times (before, during, and after the trip). We are currently heading home and we are so happy with all the bookings Sara created for us! Everything went flawlessly. Her 3rd parties for tours and transfers were perfect (always early, professional, knowledgeable, and kind). The hotel acknowledged our anniversary thanks to Sara. We stayed at the Victoria & Alfred hotel in Cape Town, then off to Dulini Moya in Sabi Sands, and finally Victoria Falls Island Treehouse in Zimbabwe. I highly recommend all of them. Tell Sara what you envision your experience to be and your budget and she will make it happen!! Her knowledge was so helpful in assisting us to choose the perfect itinerary. It was comforting that she kept in touch while we were traveling throughout Africa. I feel so lucky to have had Sara arrange this trip and will certainly request her expertise again in the future!! You won’t have to worry about anything because she is on top of it all. Do not hesitate!! Book with Sara from Safari.com!
