The Detail

The Grumeti concession was created to preserve the vast biodiversity of the Serengeti Mara ecosystem and to protect the path of the annual wildebeest migration. Singita now manages this concession with the objective of ensuring long-term sustainability through low-impact tourism.

The camp is an exclusive-use, back-to-basics mobile camp offering guests a true safari adventure. It is positioned according to the movement of the animals, ensuring truly incredible wildlife sightings, especially during the Great Migration. The camp is pitched and set up based on the requirements of each booking. There are six tents that can accommodate a maximum of 12 people.

Each tent includes a comfortable double bed, an en-suite bathroom with a bucket shower, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a private sitting area in front of the tent.

The camp also features a mess tent, an open-plan lounge, a dining area, a library, a guest computer, and a restroom.

The Serengeti is renowned for incredible game viewing all year round. However, the biggest attraction to this region is the annual migration when approximately 500,000 Thompson's gazelles, 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 18,000 elands migrate in a circular pattern between Tanzania and Kenya. This migratory pattern is driven by the rains, as the animals seek out newly sprouted grasses. The Serengeti is also famous for its predator sightings, where lion, leopard, and cheetah can be seen. Additionally, you can spot giraffe, buffalo, and various antelope species in the reserve.
