Magashi Camp welcomes children aged 6 and older. Families with children between 6 and 12.99 years must reserve a private vehicle, which requires booking at least three tents, as vehicles are limited.
Located in Akagera National Park's private concession, Magashi Camp is home to hippos, lions, black rhinos, leopards, crocodiles, and a vast array of birdlife.
Six elegant, tented suites sit along the shores of Lake Rwanyakazinga, with a central area featuring a plush lounge, bar, dining space, swimming pool, and a large viewing deck with a warm fire pit. The design and décor celebrate Rwanda’s cultural heritage.
Magashi’s eight spacious tented suites, nestled along Lake Rwanyakazinga’s shoreline, offer a serene retreat in a stunning natural setting. These tents provide an intimate and immersive safari experience, with views of breathtaking landscapes.
Meals at Magashi focus on sustainable, locally inspired dishes. The menu highlights Rwanda’s traditional ingredients and fresh, local produce, including the signature "Rolex" breakfast wrap and a Kugisha dinner, served alongside Rwandan tales and music.
With 11 unique habitats, Akagera National Park is a game-viewing paradise. The open plains support a thriving lion population, elephants and hippos linger in the lakes and swamps, and Masai giraffes roam the woodlands.
A variety of safari activities await, including thrilling boat safaris with elevated seating for exceptional views, and guided game drives, where guests can aid conservation efforts by identifying lions and leopards. Evenings conclude with a traditional Kugisha supper around a campfire, sharing stories and songs under the stars.

Mel is friendly and patient
I would usually book my trips myself. Lucky for me I sent off an enquiry to Safari.com and received Mel's wonderful help. Mel responded quickly and made me feel comfortable with Safari.com. organising my trip. Later on, when I realised my dates didn't work with the rest of my trip, Mel gave me my options and costings and rebooked for me. Mel was very patient and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to use Mel again.

Luxury South Africa Tour
I inquired into a South African safari tour. I asked two questions, is this a private tour and what are the available dates in May. The first question wasn't answered and the itinerary presented was for "May 2025" but had February dates. When I asked for clarification on the timeline and the dates, there was no response (over 3 days now). I would expect a better response for a luxury tour.

3-nights Zambia trip
I would start by saying before I started talking to Leigh-Ann Croeser I knew I wanted to go on this 3-nights adventure in Zambia with my family towards the end of this year, but I did not have any idea of how to go about planning it, thankfully Leigh-Ann responded immediately to my enquiry. Ever since I started communicating with her, she has been a very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, awesome Luxury Safari consultant who came through for me in every step of this process. The lodge was great
The lodge was great, very friendly stuff. Saw all kind of animals. The vendor we booked the lodge, charged way to much, compared when you book the lodge directly.
