Set on a hilltop amongst huge boulders and age-old Tamboti trees, the lodge is situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, traversing over 75,000 hectares of true untamed Africa, where the plains teem with wildlife and the endangered wild dog roam freely.
10 luxurious, spacious glass-fronted Suites are located at the Main Lodge. Room facilities include a living room with a huge slate-clad chimney which leads into the peaceful bedroom from where it’s possible to lie and gaze in wonder as herds of wandering animals make their way to the watering hole.
Little Madikwe Hills boasts a 2-bedroom Private Villa with its own game drive vehicle and game ranger, as well as a personal butler and chef to take care of your every need! A diverse wine selection, gourmet kitchen and entertainment center complete the picture. Two additional standard suites can also be reserved to form a completely private camp, which accommodates up to 8 guests. A certain luxury is being able to set your own meal and game-drive times, making this the ideal exclusive family escape.
The lodge facilities include a reception area, lounge area, bar, dining room, traditional boma, wine cellar, library with free Wi-Fi access, curio shop. swimming pool and viewing deck overlooking the waterhole.

During your stay at Madikwe Hills, you will explore the wonders of the bush in state of the art open game vehicles with bucket seats and fold-down armrests ensuring your optimum safety and comfort. On Morning Game drives, should you be feeling energetic, you may choose to experience an up close and personal glimpse of the African bush on foot with a gentle bushwalk through the bush back to the Lodge. Outstanding Experience! (Cape Town, Sabi Sands, Vic Falls)
After attempting to book this trip myself (a couple coming from the US), I gave up and reached out to Sara from Safari.com. I told Sara what I was thinking and by the next day she had created several wonderful itineraries! Based on her suggestions, we personalized the itineraries and within 7 days I was booked and all set!! Sara was available at all times (before, during, and after the trip). We are currently heading home and we are so happy with all the bookings Sara created for us! Everything went flawlessly. Her 3rd parties for tours and transfers were perfect (always early, professional, knowledgeable, and kind). The hotel acknowledged our anniversary thanks to Sara. We stayed at the Victoria & Alfred hotel in Cape Town, then off to Dulini Moya in Sabi Sands, and finally Victoria Falls Island Treehouse in Zimbabwe. I highly recommend all of them. Tell Sara what you envision your experience to be and your budget and she will make it happen!! Her knowledge was so helpful in assisting us to choose the perfect itinerary. It was comforting that she kept in touch while we were traveling throughout Africa. I feel so lucky to have had Sara arrange this trip and will certainly request her expertise again in the future!!
