Leroo La Tau is a luxurious lodge nestled on the western bank of the Boteti River which derives flow from the world-renowned Okavango Delta. The eastern bank of the Boteti River forms the boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park - one of the largest salt flats in the world. The lodge's river setting affords guests an incredible safari experience with an abundance of wildlife frequently visiting the river for a drink.
Children over the age of 6 years are welcome at the lodge.
Families with children aged 6 to 11 years will be required to book private activities at an additional cost.
There are no family units available. Therefore, one child under the age of 12 years can share a tent with two adults, with a separate camper bed provided for the child.
Leroo La Tau offers twelve luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites built on raised decks. Each suite features an en-suite bathroom with double vanities and a shower, as well as amenities such as bathrobes, a fan, a writing desk, a hairdryer, tea and coffee-making facilities, a flashlight, an in-room safe, an umbrella, and a patio with loungers.
The lodge facilities include a lounge area, dining area, bar, library, and swimming pool. A unique game-viewing hide is built into the bank of the river, offering unrivaled views of the wildlife and landscape.
The lodge provides guided day and night game drives. Depending on the water level of the Boteti River, boat activities are also available. Optional cultural excursions can be arranged to Khumaga Village, Nxai Pan, and Baines Baobabs (for three-night stays only). Additionally, guided nature walks allow guests to experience up-close encounters with the fauna, flora, and smaller wondrous creatures of the bush.
Leroo La Tau translates to “lion’s paw.” While the surrounding area boasts abundant lion, zebra, and wildebeest populations, it is also home to Chobe bushbuck, leopards, cheetahs, brown and spotted hyenas, impala, kudu, jackals, porcupines, genets, and caracals, among many others.
Leroo La Tau is perfect for solo explorers, couples, and families seeking a rewarding safari adventure.
