Set along the vibrant banks of the Great Fish River, Great Fish River Lodge is thoughtfully designed to highlight the vast surrounding wilderness. Expansive viewing decks allow guests to immerse themselves in nature, providing ideal spots to watch kudu wander to the river or take in an unforgettable African sunset.
The lodge welcomes children aged 12 and older.
Great Fish River Lodge exudes a calm, classic-contemporary style with a warm, natural color palette. Each of the nine spacious suites features floor-to-ceiling glass doors that provide sweeping views of the wild landscape alongside ensuite bathrooms, outdoor showers, and the convenience of both indoor baths and showers.
Guests can unwind on the main lodge’s deck, read in the cozy library, or savor African-inspired cuisine in a candlelit dining room or traditional boma.
Your stay includes twice-daily game drives, guided nature walks with an armed ranger, and big game walking safaris where you can track rhinos, elephants, and buffalo on foot. A private guide and vehicle are available for an additional fee.
When not out exploring, relax in your suite’s private plunge pool or unwind in the lodge’s welcoming living spaces.

Leigh-Ann from Safari.com was great to work with to plan our group safari trip. She was able to get me on the priority waitlist for a lodge that I liked, which ended up working out for our group during my preferred dates. Leigh-Ann was responsive and provided various tour recommendations for us to decide on the best option for us. There were a few email and name typos from Leigh-Ann that I had to correct, but other than that, I had a great experience.

Dolan was terrific
Dolan was terrific. He got back to us immediately to answer all of our questions. And was so nice to hold a room for a couple of days because of my moms passing. It gave us time to finalize her arrangements and time to book our trip. I would highly recommend using him to book your trip!!
