Just three hours’ drive from Cape Town along the scenic Route 62, Sanbona sprawls across 54 000 hectares of rugged mountains and vast plains. Sanbona is home to an impressive variety of succulents, birds, and wildlife, including the only free-roaming white lions in the world.
Surrounded by spectacular ancient rock formations and on a horseshoe bend of a dry Karoo ravine dotted with thorn trees, Sanbona Dwyka Tented Lodge offers guests a secluded and luxurious safari adventure. Dwyka Tented Lodge’s nine indulgently appointed luxury tents offer accommodation for a maximum of eighteen guests in either king-size or twin beds. The spacious tents have sumptuous open plan bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. Each tent offers a private secluded deck with a refreshing spa bath, offering magnificent views over the stark, rugged landscape. Small touches, such as an African legend on your pillow each night, are indicative of the great attention to detail of the lodge.
The lodge facilities include an open-air dining boma, lounge with fireplace, satellite television, wine cellar, gift boutique, two spa therapy rooms, and Wi-Fi.
Sanbona offers the Big Five and has the only free-roaming self-sustaining white lions in the world. The reserve is home to a variety of large and small antelope, zebra and wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, and small game such as black-backed jackal and caracal. Evening game drives provide the opportunity to see nocturnal creatures, such as the aardwolf, brown hyena, and porcupine.

An Adventure Of A Lifetime
In planning our South Africa vacation last year, I went online looking for a safari adventure. There were many companies but eventually returned to Safari.Com’s website which offered many itineraries. Luckily, their agent, Dolan quickly contacted me and planned the perfect trip to Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge. I liked his quick responses to my many, many questions. Dolan handled all reservations not only the lodge but hotels, airlines and private transportation. It was an amazing vacation. Our daughter and her family decided on a vacation to South Africa so we are all headed back again this year and Safari.Com and Dolan have again done the planning even our trip insurance. I highly recommend Dolan and Safari.Com for an amazing adventure!

A wonderful experience
We visit South Africa with an international team at least once a year and organizing a memorable time for our team is time-consuming and challenging at times.
